Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG)
Airport Information
(Cincinnati, Ohio - OH, USA)
Priding itself on passenger satisfaction and efficient customer-based service, Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) stands roughly 13 miles / 20 km southwest of the center of Cincinnati, next to the Ohio River, Bullittsville, Crescent Springs and Hebron. The airport owes much of its overall recent success to Delta's SimpliFares, which were introduced in 2005 and designed to simplify pricing and were responsible for a 25 percent increase in passenger numbers.
Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky Airport now boasts almost 700 daily departures to over 130 cities and has issued a Master Plan stretching as far forward as 2025 and includes terminal expansions and possible new runways. Today, the airport is currently seeing yearly passenger traffic of almost 1.5 million and annual traveler figures of over ten million, contributing greatly to the overall economy of the Tri-State.
Various travel options are available at Cincinnati Airport, transporting passengers into the central downtown district, the upmarket Hyde Park and Indian Hill area, the neighborhood of Mount Adams, and Coryville, home of the historic University of Cincinnati campus. Rental cars, TANK buses (Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky), airport executive shuttles and taxis cabs are all available, linking central Cincinnati and the surrounding suburbs of Fairfield, Florence, Hamilton, Independence, Loveland and Mason.
